A Retired member of the Indian Air Force
Prabhu Monnappa, a retired member of the Indian Air Force, having joined the service in 1980 prior to completing his degree at Gonikoppa Cauvery College, Coorg.
During his tenure in the Air Force he had the privilege of representing in an international hockey match held at Kolhapur in 1984. He served with dedication until his retirement in 1996, undertaking Command responsibilities and assignments associated with the NSG. He was honored to serve during the tenure of former President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, and subsequently had the responsibility of serving as a bodyguard to Dhirubhai Ambani.
In 2001, he joined G4S Secure Solutions India Pvt Ltd, where he dedicated 25 years of service and retired in the position of Cluster Head.
